All submissions must include an Abstract. An Abstract should be brief, providing the reader with a concise but complete summary of the paper. Generalizations such as ‘methods were described’ should not be used. Meta-analyses/Systematic Reviews and Scientific Studies should have a structured abstract of no more than 200 words with the following sections: Purpose, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Case Reports, Literature Reviews (JDC only) and Brief Communications should have an unstructured abstract of no more than 150 words. Introduction: The introduction should provide the context for the article, the objective of the study, and should state the hypothesis or research question (purpose statement), how and why the hypothesis was developed, and why it is important. It should generally not exceed two or three paragraphs.
